The Ask

Create listing copy for Airbnb Icon experiences that positions the brands (or celebrities) we partner with as a destination, thereby turning a marketing channel for others into a media business of our own.

The Approach

Depicting the truth of the experience and calling it a day would be “mid,” as the kids say. Mike led creative teams in telling the story of the experience through the hosts’ eyes (whether they be a celebrity or fictional character) and in their authentic voice. Because if we know why it matters emotionally to them, it’ll matter emotionally to us. Hours were spent listening to audio clips and watching Youtube to catch the POV, mannerisms, and cadence of our hosts, all while collaborating cross-functionally to ensure we were accurately capturing the reality of the experience.
